Long Arm Rental Changes

Quilt your own quilt:  The Long Arm Quilt machine rental has been very popular.   June 2018, the longarm was moved to a bigger, brighter room.    Starting February 1, 2019, when you rent, you will be using a brand new machine.

Because of the expense to maintain and replace the machine, the long arm rental fee is increasing $5 per hour to $30 per hour.  Assistance is available to teach you how to use the machine and assist you every step of the process.

Appointments available on Tuesdays and Wednesday at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.  Please call (920) 965-2085 to make your reservation.

One more thing...The popularity of long arm renting has increased and the number of last minute cancellations and rescheduled appointments has also increased.  Each of these cancellations creates an inconvenience for a fellow quilter who needed the machine but couldn't get an appointment. Therefore, a $10 reservation will be charged at the time the reservation is made.  This fee will be credited to your bill at your appointment.  If you cancel or reschedule your appointment less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled time, the reservation fee will not be refunded.

Attention  NWTC certified long arm students.    Effective with the install of the new machine, the NWTC Certified student rate will be $20 per hour.  At this rate you will be expected to load and unload your quilt.  Please ask for assistance when changing the bobbin.   If you need the full service assistance, please ask.

Cost of doing business....Credit Card Processing Fees

As a business person I expect to incurr expenses just in the course of doing business.

Due to all the benefits offered to their card holders by credit card companies, the fees for processing credit cards has increased and is crazy expensive for the small business owners.

My Favorite Quilt Shop is grouped with other small business's and the merchant processing company has adopted the "cash discount" program that modifies who pays the processing fees.  If you pay for your purchase with cash or check, you save the 3.5% fee. If you choose to pay with your debit or credit card, the 3.5% fee is now added to the charge.

Please remember there is a bank fee of $35.00 imposed if a check is written on an account with insufficient funds and future purchases will be required to be paid with cash or credit card.

As a small business every expense matters, thank you for your understanding.
